Vehicle Description

Price slashed $2,000! This is a W123 Executive Sedan that was built by Mercedes-Benz from 1976 to 1986. The chassis and powertrain were used in many limos that were two feet longer; the sedan was very popular with taxi companies all over Europe where they typically logged 300k-600k miles with only minor mechanical issues.

This car is one-family owned since new. It was ordered by an Italian-American born in Lucca Italy from the Mercedes-Benz dealer in Lucca, where he had a vacation home. During the gray market period of the 1980s he imported the car to his home in San Francisco. He died about 15 years ago and the car sat until recently when a very top Mercedes specialist went through it entirely.

These cars are of an exceptional build quality, have a timeless classic look, and are great to drive. This is a good read on how it feels to drive a W123: http://www.dailypublic.com/articles/02262018/body-buzz-mercedes-123%E2%80%94-vintage-car-drive

This car shows low original miles - there is probably another 200k-400k miles that it is capable of. We offer this appreciating and useable near-mint classic for $14,900. The car is in our display warehouse in Lockeford close Lodi, a wine region located in the Central Valley wine region of California. Here is a great article on the gray market era of the 1980s: https://www.hagerty.com/media/market-trends/gray-market-imports/

Note: The missing wheel cover will be installed in a few days. The driver seat can be repaired by probably the best auto upholsterer in the Bay Area who works out of his home. We chose to show it in the condition found.
